My SSH/VNC connection to the CSG is not working, leaving me unable to access the Setup Menu from the Web UI.

First make sure that SSH/VNC connections are turned on in the Security Settings. If they are, proceed to check to make sure that your SSH or VNC connections are correctly set up, starting with the Username and Password (If you have not made any changes, these should be set to default. The defaults are listed in the Admin guide). After confirming that these are correct, make sure that the Hostname/IP is set correctly. If using an FQDN you must make sure that the CSG is set up to use your internal DNS server (These settings can be found under the “Gateway/Log Forwarding” settings).

 

If nothing appears to be wrong with the settings in the Web UI and you still cannot connect to the Setup Menu, proceed to a physical/serial connection with the CSG appliance via a monitor and keyboard and confirm that all settings in the CSG Appliance are correct including the Trusted/Untrusted IP’s.
